Olá, Lisboa!
Known as the San Francisco of Europe. You may wonder why? It is because the city center has a lot of steep roads and has also a big bridge called Ponte de Abril 25. This bridge looks a bit like the Golden Gate Bridge. Lisbon has many scenic vistas, offers breathtaking rides on Tram 28, perfect for exploring the city’s beauty, especially on rainy days.
A sunny journey through Lisbon brought the opportunity to explore the city’s charms, including tasting the famous pastel de nata. One “Pastéis de Belém” sells warm and freshly baked ones. Their taste will surprise you. When heading here, visiting the Torre de Belém which is one of the UNESCO world heritage could be a great opportunity.
Another great place to be is the Time Out Market located in Mercado da Ribeira, Cais do Sodré. This place hosts around 36 eateries offering both local and global culinary delights.
If you wish to go beyond Lisbon, Setúbal would be one of the best places to indulge in a culinary experience. The restaurant “Maria Amaro Cozinha” for traditional flavors and “Irukandji Espresso Bar” for a coffee break could be two great options for an unforgettable journey.
Not far away, Montijo and Almada are great places for scenic hikes. The return journey to Lisbon by ferry gives different spectacular views of the surrounding beauty.
From the steep streets to the sweet treats, Lisbon is a city that never stops surprising.
